What is real today: Future City status of the anchor projects
AWS data centre
On 15 July 2026, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for Amazon Web Services’ data centre inside Bharat Future City. It is part of a ₹60,000 crore AWS commitment to Telangana. In fact, it is the corridor’s clearest proof point: a named global company, a dated groundbreaking and an on-record figure.
Ratan Tata Greenfield Radial Road
Under construction as of September 2026: a 100 metre access-controlled corridor, 41.5 km from ORR Exit 13 at Raviryal to Amangal, at about ₹4,030 crore. Phase I (19.2 km) and Phase II (22.3 km) are with separate contractors. In addition, the state has invited bids for a project management consultant to supervise construction.
Young India Skills University
Established on 11 October 2024, the university runs from a temporary campus at IIIT Hyderabad in Gachibowli with around 418 students. Meanwhile, its permanent campus at Mirkhanpet is under construction by MEIL as of September 2026. It is a genuine anchor, though it is not yet a population driver.

In September 2026, TCS’s HyperVault unit and the Telangana government announced a 1 GW AI data centre campus on 264 acres in Bharat Future City. Reports put the investment at ₹70,000 crore, with around 7,000 jobs and a targeted inauguration in June 2028. If it keeps to schedule, it would be one of India’s largest AI compute campuses.
